Rastalvia

can this gaming laptop run battlefield 3 at maximux settings? my specs are:

intel pentium 3 @1.4GHz

ram 512MB DDR2

graphics card: intel GMA 950 (128MB)

Answer
no buddy you cannot run Battel field 3 with this laptop and this is not a gaming laptop any more.even you cannot run battel field on lowest settings. you need alienware m17 or m18 with high end GPU to run bf3 on high settings i think there is only few laptops models are available to run BF3 on maximum settings get some gamine laptop with high end AMD or NVIDIA GPU as well as u need quad core processor to run this game like intel core i7,intel core 2 quad or some AMD high end processors.the battel field is the mother of all games its so heavy even on amd 6770 and nvidia 555m its run only on low settings.with your laptop maybe you can just play latest online games.

I'm getting a Alienware Gaming Laptop - Will this setup make it through Battlefield 3?

I'm getting a Alienware Gaming Laptop - M18x
3rd Generation Intel® Core⢠i7-3630QM (6MB Cache, up to 3.4GHz w/ Turbo Boost 2.0)
8GB (2 X 4GB) Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz
750GB 7,200 RPM SATA 3Gb/s <-- Hard Drive
2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 675M VIDEO CARD
Will This Setup play battlefield or the new games at least on high?
Tell me do I need to change anything?
Do i have a good video card?
Thanks for your time :D

Answer
This will run Battlefield fine on Ultra settings. If it could go farther, your laptop could still play very smoothly. But Alienwares are probably the worst gaming laptops invented by man. Dell made it, therefore, should not be worthy of doing anything but surfing the internet.

Gaming Laptop?!?!?

jv120

Im looking to get a new, reasonably priced, gaming laptop. Ive looked at a few and was wondering what someone who knows more about gaming, and computers thought about the Toshiba Satellite X205-SLi5. I know there are better, more powerful, computers for gaming but this one fits in my price range.

Answer
Agree with what warren said. laptops are not good for gaming.

if you seriously consider gaming, 2000 dollars will get you a much better desktop. I have to admit that even the laptops with the most powerful GPU and CPU processors are in the middle end of desktops. Although the Toshiba Satellite X205-SLi5 will be a very good choice, I highly recommend you buying a 2000 dollar desktop and you would be getting a much more powerful set-up.

What is a good Gaming laptop?

i need a laptop that can run Call of duty, WoW, Minecraft, TF2, Sims without any lag and othor common steam games plus a intel core i5 or i7 prossesor with at least a 500GB HD. 4Gb of ram
here is my budget: $200-1000
also i need a web cam and microphone on it for the occasional skype

Answer
Your biggest concern for gaming on a laptop is the GPU. Most laptops have slow GPU's built in to the chipset. You need a seperate GPU from nVidia or AMD Radeon.

Here are some laptop GPU benchmarks:
