I want a laptop that is GREAT for gaming. If i buy a gaming laptop, i would buy an Alienware or a Razor Blade.
If I'm gonna build my own laptop, i would by a good one that costs like $500 and I would change its processor, graphics card, video card, etc.
What should i do, I want to do it based on money. Which way would I spend the less. I want to have a gaming laptop for a cheap but reasonable price.
If I buy an Alienware I would spend like $1200, about how much would I spend if I build my own gaming laptop??
Answer
To run all the modern games today minimum requirements are likely to be systems with intel i5 > 2.5/6 GHZ boost up to 3.0+ GHZ (Or AMD equivalent), and a graphic card > Nvidia 9600M-GT or AMD Radeon HD 6470M and above.
The 1 GIG or 2 GIG GT640M appears to be a decent mobile video card.
Oh and 6 GIG 1333MHZ/1600MHZ DDR3 RAM, although you can add this your self.

Is it possible to attach a desktop graphics card to a laptop?

I want to upgrade my laptop, but with a desktop graphics card. If possible.
Answer
Some laptops have a expresscard slot. There are external hardware methods.

Vidock is a very neat and expensive external unit:

Doubtful to find a USB external, but some (a few good laptops) have expresscard.
