Which Graphic Card brand and its specs would be best for a Gaming Laptop?

Im planning on buying an HP Gaming Laptop with Core i7 processor and atleast 6 GB RAM. Could any computer tech tell me which VGA Card brand is best in my case. And please give any recommendations too.

P.S : Price range isnt a problem and I gave the specs of my PC because people say that a good VGA Card should have other good PC Specs to cope with the VGA Card too.

The Laptop graphics go to nVidia. something like a 660M will do fine.

**However currently the 7970 is the leading Desktop graphics due to a nice new driver update putting it ahead of the 680GTX.

I would like to invest in a gaming laptop. I want maximum performance for on the go gaming. I want to be able to run a game on ultra settings all the time, and never drop below 75+ fps. Here is the tricky part, i would also like to stay cost effective. I'd prefer under 1k , but nothing is set in stone. Please let me know what you guys think, i have been looking at alienware laptops, and hp's.

It's got i7 processor, 4GB RAM and Nvidia GT 550 graphics card with 2GB RAM.
