A decent amount of ram of about 6-8gb, a decent hard drive or a SSD, for faster speeds, i5 or i7 processor and 2.5ghz+ and also a dedicated graphics card.

I just bought a Lenovo Y580 and it is pretty good. Dual HDDs or 1HDD/1 SSD cache, 2gb GDDR5 GeForce 660M, and 8 gigs of ram for about a grand at Frys.com.
