I'm planning on asking for a laptop for christmas, and wanted to start shopping around now. My family pc is not very good at running games, it can barely run the sims on lowest settings. I'm going to be using my laptop to play alot of games, and so, I need something thats going to run most games on atleast medium settings preferably. Games such as Dragon Age Origins, The Witcher, Crysis, etc, are the types of games that I am looking to play.

No set budget is in mind in terms of price, but around 6 or 7 hundred dollars would be ideal. What are some good gaming laptops around that price?

Customize this to a 5650 and the Dual-core 2.5 or 2.8 Ghx cpu. More cores are useless. Included with this laptop is a nice 4 GB of memory however this is a special offer I think.

It'll be 750 bucks for the 2.5 and 780 for the 2.8 This laptop should be able to handle most games and low-medium or medium-high settings. If you're mainly playing crysis don't go cheaper than this.

Customize it to a 2.8 Ghz and a Radeon 545v and 3-4 GB of memory. The 3GB config is 614 bucks and the 4GB 664 bucks. This laptop can handle most games at low-medium settings. Crysis is playable.

HP laptops have awesome performance and quality with an excpetioanally low price. Check Sony if you want.
