Is my laptop good for medium/High gaming?

I just bought a new DELL INSPIRON 3521 i5 (thats what the box says lol) with the following specs:

CPU:Intel i5 3317u 3MO Cache 2.6ghz

GPU:ATI Radeon 7670M HD 1GB

HDD: 500GB Sata 7200 TPM

OS: Win8

if anyone ever owned this laptop or have any idea if its capable of running some new games (for example FIFA 14 and PES 14) i'll also be playing GTA IV and some 2010-2012 games, nothing special, will also be using emulators like PCSX2 and Dolphin

Help is highly appreciated, please avoid suggesting me other laptops since i have already bought this, thank you.

It is an Entry Gaming grade spec computer,. Which means, you won't be able to play many games than you thought it will play

Fear not. Most of the games will now have AMD mantle Support which will support AMD GPU to run better

So,. To be exact. it is a reasonable computer, However It is hard to call it a :"Gaming spec"

but more of Casual entertainment package laptop.

It should be able to run quality games, like battlefield 4 with Mantle support, and other major games

The laptop has a quad core and good processing speed with a dependable amount of RAM
the graphics card is great too, since radeon has better physx than nvidia. Option 1 would be recommended for high quality gaming, but be aware the pc's temperature will increase if you play for several hours.

right now im on xbox360 and im going to switch to pc soon. I know like nothing about computers or laptops so would this one be able to play games like call of duty, borderlands 2, bf3, skyrim, minecraft, cubeworld, etc. would this be able to run games as well as xbox does?

It is a good one with a powerful CPU (4th gen i7) and a good GPU (what takes care of the graphic of the games). It should be able to run most games except from the powerful ones which you'll have to run at medium settings.
And yes you will be able to run old games on your windows 8 laptop although you may not like win8 itself.

I want to buy a new gaming laptop for collage.I have this year an 1+ from high school and I am going to go in 2011-2012 in collage. I want a top gaming laptop of 3500-5500$
Will there be a new CPU, Graphic card, Ram that will be much faster then ?

This is sort of a pointless question.

Of course there will be new CPU's, new GPU's, faster and higher capacity RAM and hard drives. They are in a constant state of change, and new additions to each of those categories come out at least once a year, so you're looking at at least 2 generations better than what we have now.

But you might want to rethink your strategy, as a super powerful gaming laptop is not very portable and it's battery life will suck. And as a college student myself, you are going to want a laptop that you can take where ever you need, easily (both weight and size) and something that wont die in an hour. Come back to Yahoo Answers when you are ready to buy a gaming laptop, as any advice as to parts is pure speculation and will lead you astray.
