Whats a good Gaming Laptop?

Now, I know this has been asked a few times, but I wanted an answer that's personal, and right up to date with the fastly changing world of computers.

I am looking to do some gaming, and I want to know what laptop to buy but unfortunately for me, a desktop is out of the question, as I need my computer to do work as well and take to the office and at home. My price range is £600-£700 but if I find something I love, I can go as far as £850. Im not looking for something that can run 3 copies of crisis or anything like that, just something that can cope with some of the recent releases, and if possible, something that can be upgraded in the future. An example of the games I want are mainly older RTS games, but I would like MW2, and when its finally out, SC2.

Any input would be great.

Best Gaming Laptop to date for its price?

It's usually between an Asus and an Alienware. My budget is around $1200 but I don't mind spending a bit extra for better performance. I don't care about weight or baterry life since i'm looking for a laptop as good as a desktop. Any ideas?

I will mainly be playing Starcraft 2, Team Fortress 2, Counter Strike Source, Some other games in the future probably not extemely demanding. Other than that I will use it for Sony Vegas Video Editing (CoD Montages :D), Photoshop (GFX :D ), and basically holding HD Movies and music along with all my school work. I want it to last about 6 years so that it can get me through college as I am a Junior now. I will prob use it for LAN parties in college too and I do so now in high school as well.

I have an Asus gaming laptop, I use it a lot for gaming and web browsing. I've had it a year and a half, the battery is at 45 percent wear, it only last about 80 minutes.Mine has a GTS 360 1gb that plays most games pretty well. I plan on keeping it for another year and a half. That GPU and CPU on yours is plenty quick for those games you have and for games for a while. Those specs won't be out of date in 6 years because those are a lot better than a 360 or PS3 and people will definitely still be playing those consoles in 6 years. The only problem I see it the laptop wearing out, since it's portable and it will get scratched and bumped, breaking the fragile parts of it over the years. Also the cooling fan may not be as efficient over time, I bought a cooling fan for mine because the temperature inside of it gets over 180 F at times

How can I transfer The Sims 3 saved game date to another computer? I have an iMac and am going to be moving and getting another iMac, how do I transfer the saved game date? I was told that I can install The Sims 3 on multiple computers, is that true?

I don't know what the licensing agreement is for installing it on multiple computers, though most allow for at least 2 as long as they're not both running at the same time (so desktop and laptop).

On a PC the saved games are here:
C:\Documents and Settings\*USERNAME*\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Saves

Back that up and SavedSims for the characters.

I think you can't get a gaming laptop at your budget, better get a desktop you budget would probably fit.

Are there any good games you can suggest?
Well I have 4 gigs of RAM and it has Intel Pentium.. I really don't know what stats would helpp.. I'm a noob

By just knowing the OS and the date I really know nothing, but I'll try.
Excellent games than can be played on middle-of-the-road or lower computers

Terraria (Available on steam)
Team Fortress 2 (Free to play on steam)
Portal/Portal 2 and Half Life 2 are fun, (though rather short) single player games.
Skyrim is incredibly fun, can be played on low graphics on most computers.

What's more important to running PC Games Video Card or CPU Speed?

Getting ready to by a new gaming laptop, if you had to cut corners on one what would it be? Do you buy the latest and great video card with a decent CPU or the latest and greatest CPU with a decent video card?

Most CPU's today can handle any game to date just fine. I would be worried about the Video card, especially when it comes to laptops, because you cannot upgrade laptop video cards so if you get something crappy, you'll have to live with it :/
