Is it okay to go on email services and online games using a school laptop that you are assigned?

Q. The school will be giving all us students laptops soon and they block things like porn and Facebook and I don't have any other computer to use except this. I just feel paranoid because I don't want the school to be spying on what I do with spyware. I highly doubt this but not sure.
What if I go in Google Chrome/Internet Explorer in Incognito mode? Will that hide all my browsing data?

You will have to look under the terms of use that you signed (or should have signed) upon receiving the computer, and if you do not have Administrative rights well there are ways around that but they are not exactly legal seeing as how the mess with the S.A.M. configuration (if you have windows) and normally involve "boot disks" based off of linux. So if you are not sure look into the School's terms of use agreement.

I need a laptop for college but I am not technologically advanced enough to know what is best. Can someone recommend me a good option? Wouldn't mind spending money if it's worth it, so please gimmie your opinions. All help will be appreciated.

Mac is perfect if you dont care much for the best hardware or mainstream gaming. Its very simple to use and has all the programs already installed that you'll need for school i believe. But i go with windows computers to play the good games, and i like to solve my own issues. There are also other operating systems besides Mac OS and Windows, like Linux, which has MANY operating systems.
