Hey guys, I'm looking at buying this laptop [external link] for university next year [and a bit of gaming on the side]
http://www.justlaptops.net.nz/product/180/sony-cs-p8600-4g-320g-gef9-wifi-n-14-led-win7-pack/?search=SONY+CS+P8600
I was wondering if that would run Aion [and other games of that calibre] smoothly. Any response would be greatly appreciated. :D
For those not wanting to click on the link, here are the stats for the laptop:
* Intel Centrino 2, Core 2 Duo P8600 @ 2x 2.4GHz
* 4GB Duo Channel DDR2 800MHz RAM
* 320 GB High speed SATA 5400 rpm
* nVidia GeForce9300GS with 1.5G Video RAM / 256MB Dedicated
Cheers for the heads-up Allen, I'm looking for more or less a replacement for my desktop at home, as I will be moving out and that'll be my sole computer. That battery issue sounds like a bit of a problem though hmm

This isn't a answer, but rather advice. Gaming laptops run out of battery very quickly and it would suck if you needed to take notes or email an assignment but your battery was dead.

What type of Laptop should I get?
The
Im thinking Lenovo because they are having deals right now.
I want a pretty decent upgradable-some-day laptop, that right now is still pretty decent, enough to allow fast graphics for occasional light gameplay (not world of warcraft graphics, but less), and be easy to run a bit of tasks at a time.

I am looking to pay under 550 if possible, are any of these laptops worth the price tag?
Answer
Get a desktop machine if you want it for gaming and slight upgrades and gaming for laptops chews up the battery life and many people i know says gaming sucks on laptops so invest in a good desktop
