Is an Alienware laptop really the best gaming laptop on the market?

I am really looking for a gaming laptop... So far all I can find is the Alienware. Is there a better laptop out there for gaming specifically?

Answer
When you buy alienware you are just paying a premium for the name.

What you want to look for MAINLY in a laptop for gaming is a DEDICATED video card.Avoid integrated or onboard video.

Amount of RAM and processor speed are also important. Id say shoot for at least a two core machine with a minimum of 4 gb of RAM.(depending on what you want to play)

If you are just looking for a name ASUS, also makes good gaming laptops.

What are some good ASUS 15 inch gaming laptops in the market?

Che Leonid

My budget range is anything under 2500. If not ASUS then can someone tell me which other gaming laptop i can get? Thanks in advance.

Answer
I want to infrom you that "gaming laptops" are really un realistic for extended use as most will last 2-3 years if that. I would how ever recommend getting a nice gaming desktop for that budget.

although if you are dead set on a nice gaming laptop I would recommend:

www.alienware.com

if you decide to go with a desktop instead you can look at these:
both of these also carry laptops

Answer
Lenovo.com
IdeaPad Y500 Laptop- 59371965 - at $850 plus tax. The GT 730M seems to be a little better than the GTX 660M. The link is long but not hard to navigate Lenovo.com

The down level Y500 with the pair of GT 650M in sli. With an i5 processor, a few games will CPU bottleneck. It is $900 and taxed in California.
Both in 1080p

Now, hunt the stores, Amazon, Newegg, Tigerdirect, Fry's, Best Buy.

Come up with a GTX 660M or better at these prices.

TES:

Requirements will be fairly low.

AT $800 is enough.
You can go cheap, and it is probably enough to play, even with weak build quality of Acer:
