I have $700 USD and wanted to know if i could get a good laptop with this money to play games like BF3 on medium settings,Grid 2,NFS MW 2012,etc.Im trying to get a laptop with Intel core I5 with 6gb ram and over 500gb HD with a good Graphics card,is there anyway i could get a laptop with those specs with this money?Thanks

How do I increase battery life in Linux?

I have an Acer Aspire 5920 laptop with Linux Mint 15 Xfce 64-bit. And my battery life sucks. When it ran Windows Vista, I remember getting a good 3-4 hours of battery life, even when watching movies or playing games. Vista died, so I installed Linux Mint. Now, my battery life is only 2-2.5 hours. And that's when it's just sitting idle. My fan runs at high speed all the time and it sounds like an aircraft taking off when I boot up the computer. The cpu temperature hovers somewhere around 37 degrees Celcius, which I believe is typical for a laptop. I don't know if these problems are a driver issue or what, but it's pretty pathetic.
