Gaming Laptop?

Entreprene

What is the best gaming laptop that is available, on eBay or from the manufacturer, for under $1500 USD? Links to the laptop will be highly appreciated.

Answer
Unfortunately,
when it comes to gaming laptops, Desktop replacement is a more appropriate term, you won't have much success finding a machine under $1500 and be able to play some of the newer tittles without having to lower the graphic to the lowest setting possible.

First off, make sure you really want a gaming laptop because chances of upgrading it (Graphic card) is very slim, the Li-ion battery will mostly likely serve as a decoration or a counter weight, it tends to get very warm and noisy due to the fans, and finally it's bulky and heavy. It's just not meant to stay on your lap; consider getting a cooling pad, set it on a table, and leave it there.

But if have to make a suggestion, I would say the Sager/Clevo NP2090 line.
It's not top of the line, but it's a good balance between price and performance.

Both xoticpc.com and powernotebooks.com are respectable resalers.

When it comes to laptops I stopped recommending 'brand names' (Sony, HP, Dell, etc.) quite a while ago, and especially when it comes to these types of machine. Their services and support are often sub-standard, and the "gaming" machines are often overpriced.

Final note is nothing replaces doing your own research.
A good place to start is http://forum.notebookreview.com/ a lot of helpful people here.

P.S. Operating system for the machines does not come standard for the 2 resalers I suggested, but if I recall correctly if you order Vista 64-bit, it comes with both the 64-bit and the 32-bit cds. You can get a lot for a $100.

Is there anything like gaming laptop?

Q. I am looking for a gaming laptop on which I can play high-end games like Nfs- Most Wanted, Counter- Strike 3, and like. Tell me what is the highest backup any such laptops can get. Please be generous enough to mention the price.

Answer
Gaming is among the most demanding of applications
Such laptops should be pretty expensive !

I've heard of alienware, but cannot tell u much bout them

Dell has a premium range, gaming included
best would be the XPS M1710
http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&oc=M1710R1&s=dhs
Intel® Core Duo Processor T2500 (2MB Cache/2GHz/667MHz FSB)
2GB DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHZ, 2 DIMM
(4GB better, but costs the moon)
80GB 7200rpm SATA Hard Drive
512MB NVIDIA® GeForce Go 7900 GTX
> works out to approx $3300

a slightly cheaper option would be the XPS M1210
> approx $2500

but sure will not match upto the XPS M1710 for high end gaming
