Aman

Hey I was Thinking about getting a gaming laptop. Requirements
Thin
Weight- 4-6 lbs.
High performance, Preferably 4th gen. Intel Core i7

15.6-17.3 in screen

HD 1080p Display

No heating or overheating

no Throttle sounds(quiet)

I want to customize it but still only spend 1000 max.

Answer
A bit over, but probably your best bet:

**Sager NP7352** (NVIDIA GT 765M, 15.6" 1920x1080 matte display) - **$1046**
- http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np7352-clevo-w350st-p-5842.html?wconfigure=yes
- Scroll down to Operating System and select Windows, unless you can get your own copy for cheaper. Default option is No OS.

More options:

(Barnes and Noble Gold Discount link for Lenovos: http://shoplenovo.i2.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/na/StdAffinityPortal/en_US/Lenovo:EnterStdAffinity?affinity=barnesnoblegold)

**Lenovo IdeaPad Y580** (NVIDIA GTX 660M, 15.6" 1920x1080 w/ glossy finish) - **$786**
- Create a free account and sign in, at the Barnes and Noble Gold link.
- Take this model: http://shop.lenovo.com/barnesnoblegold/us/en/laptops/ideapad/y-series/y580/?sb=:000001C9:0000EA96:
- Avoid any models that come with the 1366x768 display, and not the 1920x1080 display. 1366x768 resolution in a 15.6" display makes things onscreen large, and 15.6" displays that have 1366x768 resolution tend to be low-grade LCD panels with very poor image quality due to low contrast.

**Lenovo IdeaPad Y500** (NVIDIA GT 750M, 15.6" 1920x1080 w/ glossy finish) - **$819**

- Note: less battery life than some laptops due to lack of NVIDIA Optimus switchable graphics support, but larger than average capacity battery makes it not too bad.

**Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p** (NVIDIA GT 750M, 15.6" 1920x1080 w/ glossy finish) - **$996**

- If a 1920x1080 model is outside your budget, a 1366x768 model is not a first-course alternative nor a good choice. You want to maintain focus on getting a decent GPU and a decent display at the same time. Such you'll see for cheaper in certain models of the IdeaPad Y500 and Y580.

I'd put your eggs in the baskets of the GPU and the display, before you start focusing too hard on what type of CPU you get -- latest generation or otherwise. The GPU is the primary determining factor for game performance, and the display is something you want to do well in, in general.

Hey, i'm going into the 9th grade next year and i need a good fast laptop that is good for downloading and playing games while also fast surfing the web. A battery life with atleast and hour would be nice to. During the summer i mow yards and get about 200 a week. so at the end of the summer i have around 3000 dollars which includes my b-day money. im saving up for a car to thats why i'd like a cheap laptop. if it's a little above 1000 it's ok but no more than 1500. so pretty much a laptop with a good graphics card, memory and processor is what i'd like

it has a good card but it depends what games you are playing like crysis, you probably wont be able to run it all high but there are other options.
