Help choosing a laptop?

John

I am trying to choose a gaming laptop (NOT A PC) that will run Planetside 2 on max settings (and other games such as COD Black Ops 2, Day Z, Warframe, Metro: Last Light, etc), but I don't know which one to get without spending over $1,500. Can anyone help me? My spending limit is $1,000.

Requirements for my Laptop:

Intel i5 duo or i7 duo (4th generation)
10 GB ram or more (need a minimum of 8gb usable)
Nvidia Ge-force 500 series or better
15 or 17 inch screen
Windows 8 (7 will work, if necessary)
Over 3 hour battery life
NO TOUCH SCREEN!!!!

I am getting a laptop so it can be used on the go for essays,

Answer
You can go for A.M.D apu's. They are value for money gaming pcs. You can play most of the new games 2013 with medium settings. I own a similar config hp laptop A10 processor. But Mine has 7660G graphics card. Now they have released the new A.M.D Richland processors. They are faster than the previous generation processors and come with better gpus( Radeon HD 8550G)

HP ENVY 15z-j000 series 650$
Windows 8 64
⢠AMD Quad-Core A10-5750M Accelerated Processor
⢠AMD Radeon HD 8750M + HD 8000 Series Dual Graphics
⢠15.6-inch diagonal HD BrightView LED-backlit Display (1366x768)
⢠6GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
⢠1TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive

This one has a dedicated AMD Radeon HD 8750M + HD 8000 Series Dual Graphics runs in crossfire mode.
For another 40$ , you get one with 15.6-inch diagonal Full HD BrightView LED-backlit Display (1920x1080)
