How to convince my parents to buy me a new laptop?

Ok so I already have a laptop, but I got it 4 years ago and its crap for gaming, and recently I am getting into gaming. So I wanted to get a new laptop but I don't know how to bring it up to my parents??? I recently got a phone for my Birthday (3 months ago) but about 2 weeks ago I was in the car with my dad and we were talking about macbook pros and he said I could get you one if you wanted and I said yes. We never talked about it since. Anyways the gaming laptops I want are a little cheaper than a macbook pro. Plus I want to start recording gaming videos and uploading them to youtube. I have already prepared a LOT for that. Thanks guys 10 points for best answer.


And they won't let me buy anything with my own money so I can't just go out and buy one, even though I have almost enough.

Say that your old computer cannot run the newer programs on your computer, and you need a new laptop for studying. As I am guessing that if its 4 years old your laptop, it must be getting pretty slow.
