What is the best touch screen laptop for a 13 year old. I would need multi touch and it has to be under 1000 euro(around 1300 dollars or 900 pounds.. I would mostly use it for surfing the web, watching youtube, playing mini games and using editing photo's or videos. not big videos just trimming the start and end on 5 minute videos. I have saved up 300 euro from working and that is towards a laptop. it needs over 2gb memory either 32bit or 64bit operating system and over 4 hours of battery life. Also I with windows 7. preferably not toshiba or packard bell if they make one. it also might suffer from 1 fall a year on carpet.
must be over 11" and under 14". I know its alot to ask but I let my brother use mine for 2 days and 3 keys are broken off. It had a big virus and it messed up.

Answer
The question adds a twist, as entered into Yahoo Answers USA/Global with a Euros price point.
I guess UK for price points written in £ (Pounds) whether entered into UK Yahoo or not. Written in dollars $ gets bad replies when out of the USA. USA does not have duties and out of state (US States) purchases do not even collect the 5 to 8% state sales taxes. VAT (Value Added Tax) is typically shown in EU pricing and is 12 to 20% if I remember correctly and there is also duties and less competitive pricing. So, in US$ the price point can be 20% too high. In Euros, many USA people do not know the tax implications. I found that Saveonlaptops out of the London area is generally the best pricing though needs conversion from pounds and a shipping adder to the UK, and often can find similar at a bit higher price elsewhere with good shopping. This preface is an important start.

In the questions favor is the relatively high price and relatively low requirements of gaming. I try to look ahead a little thinking maybe young teenager (no insult here) and maybe in a couple of years may want a higher graphics game set and laptops are generally 3 to 5 year desired use.
Samsung, Asus, MSI, Lenovo Ideapads and Thinkpads, HP Envy maybe, XPS Dell, Business Toshiba, Sony are all the preferred although they vary in quality and reliability and general feature extras. Gigabit (10/100/1000) for wired connects of better streaming+online+download, go-back recovery, battery management, faster HDDs and SSDs, better keyboards and 1080p screens all should get consideration. A 1080p screen needs a higher graphics but is the only way for true ultra play.
Lenovo Essentials, Acer-Gateway, Compaq and cheaper HP, cheaper Toshiba, off-brand are all the lower end of the scale.

So, now, the findings. A ⬠is 0.86 £ and prices need a 10£ add for shipping +/-.
Will look here: http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/
and the goal is to either shop there, or find a similar laptop at a more convenient purchase place.
â¬1000 = £860, so a listed top ceiling of £850 and preferred lower. (I try to explain fully)
First, how low can you go in price?
http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Lenovo_B590_1341799.html
A Lenovo B590 is in the Essentials line. That means "generic laptop". It ranks in class with Acer-Gateway, most of the HP-Compaq, Dells, low priced Toshiba. It is not intended as a high reliability unit and is aimed at price/performance. Looking at under â¬400 delivered the i3-3110M and integrated HD 4000 Mobility with a standard set of specifications and a few Lenovo special extras,
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Computer-Games-on-Laptop-Graphic-Cards.13849.0.html
and Game-debate by game (Football Manager 2013 is higher than Minecraft in requirements)
http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=5215&game=Football+Manager+2013&p_make=Intel&p_deriv=Core+i3-3110M+2.4GHz&gc_make=Intel&gc_deriv=Intel+HD+Graphics+4000+Mobile&ram=4&checkSubmit=#systemRequirements
The 7 CPU, 4 GPU, and 6 RAM scores (low 4 on the GPU) is enough to meet or exceed the recommended 4-4-4, but the "4" GPU is actually higher on the scale than the HD 4000 Mobility, so this becomes the bare minimum laptop expected in the 20's for frames per second on the x768 screen.

CPU on 1st tab.
Now, a couple more now that I provided the tools for your shopping.

One step up:
http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Acer_Aspire_V3-571G_1266041.html
Acer (low), i5-3210M (mid), GT 630M (ok) at under â¬540. Starts the word "gaming".

Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3-581TG is a little higher in price with a low voltage i5 and GT 640M is better at graphics intensive games and lower at CPU intense and on average is better.

Lenovo Z580 also there is a quality step up and better specs overall than the Acer V3-571G but gaming is similar.

Acer Aspire V3-571G with the 3rd gen i7 and GT 640M £549.97 â¬655 is above your requirements already. http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Acer_Aspire_V3-571G_1337250.html

MSI CX61 is a gaming system GT 645M 3rd gen std voltage core i7 â¬725 appx

May be out of 10 links.
May find a Lenovo Y500 or Y580 around with 1080p core i7 3rd gen GT 650M. Check out Lenovo.com in your country and sellers of them.
This is impressive
http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/MSI_GX60_1345461.html
The CPU is weak as an A10-4600M, but amazing on the HD 7970M as a top-of-the-line graphics on a scale with GTX 675M and GTX 680M and is Full HD 1080p. Top of your price point but does have a cash back to try to get. There is a Lenovo Z500 Touchscreen with GT 740M which equals about the GT 650M and is at the top of price that is certainly impressive. The GTX 660M MSI is just over budget and is a better CPU than A10-4600M by a lot, but GTX 660M is lower graphics also by quite a bit but that is as high as you can go.
