I need a Gaming laptop 2012?

Mike Raws

Hello! I'm going back to the US and I've saved money for a gaming laptop!
I'm going to be buying it June-July, so I have time to think about it.
Any suggestions? NO ALIENWARE!
Anything under 2.1 grand (USD)

Answer
The next thing that is close to gaming alienware is the Dell XPS 15 X15L-1024ELS gaming laptop. This is a truly awesome computer. For starters, it's without a doubt the fastest laptop I have ever used. I can literally hit the button to turn it on and be online within 1 minute. It never lags or slows in performance, even when handling 5 or 6 tasks at a time. All of the features on this laptop are state-of-the-art. The speakers truly stand out, they are the best sounding laptop speakers I've ever heard, bar none. Also, the camera on it records in 1080p so you can get some really good quality video just using what comes stock. This is a solid machine that is well worth the price. I strongly suggest it to anyone looking for a state-of-the-art laptop.

If you don't like it, just use the specs from the page as your foundation and go from there.

Good luck on finding your gaming laptop.

3DS or Laptop Question?

Samuel and

I have a DS lite, and also a... *please don't crack up* IBM ThinkPad Pentium MMX 233mhz. I can't even keep myself from laughing. I got it at a garage sale. It doesn't hold or take a charge. My DS lite is brand new, I got it on the 18th of June, I think. I was wondering if I should get a netbook for $250 and then put OS X on it, or get a 3DS for the same price? Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time looks really epic, and Luigi's Mansion 2 is a remake of a game I played a lot when I was 5ish. Some very cool games are being released for the 3DS. But, with the laptop, I could have my own laptop. I also have 2 computers, one a Intel Quad Core 3.2GHz and the other a AMD Phenom II Black Edition x2, one running OS X 10.6.7. I just don't know what I should get. I love gaming, but unless I somehow get a Xbox 360 in this month, I don't have ANY game consoles. My Wii went to Wii heaven when I installed a bad OS wad. Oh... So, what should I save up for? I just want your opinions. Thank you.
-Sam
By the way, I wouldn't game on the laptop. Youtube, mostly,

Answer
I would buy the 3DS. Laptops are inadequate for gaming. If you really want to play games on a computer, get a desktop that is super up to date and is meant for gaming. A gaming PC will also serve as an every day computer because gaming PCs have immense amounts of RAM put into them causing it to run faster for everything you do in your daily life. Also, if you get a gaming desktop PC, download the program called Steam. This program allows you to play video games on your PC and most of them are controller compatible. Steam also has sales on games. For example, there was a sale on a set of games called The Witcher. The first one costed about $2 and the second costed about $3. Two games for $5, great deal right?
