I will be starting college in the fall and I need to purchase a new laptop for school. The laptop will mostly be used for school work but I would also like to use it for gaming, and syncing my phone and other electronics. I do not want a desktop, because I will be living on campus and would like to use it in class. I own a netbook, which is convenient for portable reasons, but was never compatible with gaming or other large tasks. So i assume that I need a large laptop. I would like to stay under $350 dollars. Any suggestions?

Answer
Asus has one option which is perfect in this price range and also good for multitasking as it has good features.

Its features include AMD E-Series Dual-Core E-450 1.65 GHz processor which is powerful enough for performing multitasks with the help of 4 GB DDR3. Also it has good storage with 320 GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive. It has 15.6-Inch Screen and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

So this is one good option as far as features are concerned in this price range. Also it performs really well as one of an actual user said that it is an Excellent Laptop and work wonderful. For your help here is a complete comment:

Looking for a good laptop for college?

I'm researching laptops for college and beyond, but I'm a little overwhelmed by all the options. My budget is $1200, and what I've decided so far is I need:
- A PC, not a Mac
- i7 processor
- CD/DVD drive
- USB 3.0 ports
- Windows 8
- 8GB or more RAM
- 750GB or more hard drive
- A decent graphics card (I'm not a serious gamer as far as computers go, but I want to be able to play minecraft or the sims without it lagging.)
- Long battery life (this is super important!)
- Screen no bigger than 16" diagonally
- Not super heavy
What do you recommend I get?
